Order with your own article

How to order a placement with content you write yourself: what it saves, what it changes, and how to upload the article after you order.

Updated 1 min read

By default our writers (or the publication's partner writers) write the article, and you don't need to supply content or images. If you'd rather write it yourself, you can, and the $65 writing fee comes off.

Before you order

  • In the marketplace, set the Content filter to Without to see prices without the writing fee.
  • At checkout, open Options on the placement and tick I'll supply the article.

Supplying your own content can lead to delays, edit requests or rejection by the publication. Your article still goes through our chief editor's guideline check and the publisher's review. Read the publication's requirements on its Formats & pricing page first (length limits, unique text, links allowed).

After you order

The order shows Upload content as the action needed, and it appears at the top of your Inbox. Upload it as a Word (.docx) file or PDF from the order page. See Upload your article.

Once it's attached, the order moves on to editor review.
